Hundreds of job-seeking hopefuls applied for the position of experienced service receptionist/administrator at Polesworth Garage's Service Centre on Sandy Way, Amington.

In a seven-day window, the Jobcentre advertisement brought an avalanche of interest for the vacancy, admitted finance director Andrew Marven.
